Amman: A decision was issued on Wednesday, appointing Brig. Gen. Sahel Hammouri as the new Director General of the Royal Medical Services (RMS).

According to Jordan News Agency, Hammouri is a Jordanian physician recognized for his contributions at both technical and administrative levels. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and General Surgery from the University of Jordan.

Throughout his academic career, Hammouri earned several certifications, including the Jordanian Board of General Surgery and a postgraduate course in laparoscopic and gastrointestinal surgery.

In addition to his medical qualifications, Hammouri has served in various high-profile military administrative roles within Jordan's hospitals, further cementing his reputation in the medical community.
