Amman: Jordan Customs Department (JCD) announced its anti-smuggling division, in cooperation with security agencies, seized 30,000 packs of counterfeit e-cigarette juice during a recent special operation. In a statement, the department emphasized its ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and protect citizens from fake and illegal products, which pose a threat to public health.
According to Jordan News Agency, the JCD reported that anti-smuggling customs personnel also seized 300 packs of cigarettes in another case. The seized items were confiscated, and the cases were referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.
The JCD highlighted its commitment to implementing "intensive" inspection campaigns across the Kingdom. These efforts aim to prevent the entry or circulation of any counterfeit or violating goods, ensuring the protection of citizens' health and the national economy.
