British Ambassador Hosts Dinner for Jordanian Chevening Scholars

Amman: British Ambassador to Jordan, Philip Hall, hosted a dinner for Jordanian Chevening scholars who are set to travel to the UK for one-year master's degree programs, along with the recently appointed Chevening Alumni Board chaired by Dr. Fares Breizat.

According to Jordan News Agency, the British embassy highlighted that Chevening Scholarships are part of the UK Government's global initiative, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). The scholarships offer full financial support to exceptional individuals to pursue any eligible master's degree at a UK university.

Candidates for these scholarships must show strong leadership capabilities, possess a minimum of two years of professional experience, and commit to returning to Jordan after completing their studies in the UK. The aim is to apply the acquired skills and knowledge in Jordan.

This year's cohort of Jordanian scholars will be studying a range of subjects, including Biomedical Engineering, Economics, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Digital Entrepreneurship, Engineering and Innovation, Global Public Health, Journalism, Psychology, and Management.

During the event, Ambassador Hall remarked, "This year's Chevening Scholars reflect the talent, ambition, and promise of Jordan's youth. Like previous generations of Chevening Scholars, they will make an enormous contribution in Jordan and to the enduring partnership between our two nations. I wish them every success with their studies."

Applications for the Chevening Scholarships remain open until 7 October 2025. Prospective applicants are encouraged to prepare their applications early and submit them through the official website at www.chevening.org/apply.
