Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Ahmad Safadi on Wednesday congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, and the Jordanian people, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations, on the occasion of the birth of Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, which falls on Friday.
According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi recalled the noble life of the Prophet of Mercy, Mohammad (PBUH), describing it as a guiding path for the nation in tolerance, justice, and the call to righteousness and goodness.
He highlighted the significance of this occasion by recognizing the steadfast defense of the nation by the Hashemite leadership, emphasizing His Majesty King Abdullah II's role as the custodian of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, supported by a loyal people.
Safadi concluded his greeting by praying to Almighty God to bless the Arab and Islamic nations with unity and steadfast positions in support of their just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, and to unify efforts to stop the ongoing war of brutality and crime in Gaza.
