Amman: Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, the British Council in Jordan hosted the 19th edition of the Queen Rania Outstanding UK Learner Awards to honor the exceptional achievements of 102 Jordanian students. These students excelled in the IGCSE, International GCSE, International AS and A Level, GCE, and GCSE exams conducted by Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, and OxfordAQA.

According to Jordan News Agency, the annual ceremony also recognized the contributions of nine distinguished teachers and celebrated the supportive role of parents in their children's academic success. The event highlighted the accomplishments of those who have completed the UK International Curriculum in Jordan.

At the ceremony, British Council Director Exams - MENA North, Ameera Mannaa, emphasized the significance of the awards as a reflection of the dedication of students, teachers, and parents in Jordan. Mannaa expressed the British Council's commitment to enhancing education systems in Jordan and fostering international cooperation.

Mannaa further commented that the ceremony provides an opportunity to celebrate the students' achievements and underscores the pivotal role education plays in shaping the future.

The event attracted over 400 attendees, including 80 representatives from British Council Partner Schools, officials from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and delegates from UK awarding bodies such as Cambridge, Pearson, and Oxford AQA.

Established in 2003, the Queen Rania Outstanding UK Learner Awards support Her Majesty's vision to promote educational excellence in Jordan.
