Amman: Children's Museum Jordan (CMJ) reported a significant achievement in 2025, welcoming over 315,000 visitors. This milestone aligns with the Royal initiative launched in 2007 by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, focusing on enhancing interactive education and providing innovative learning environments for children.
According to Jordan News Agency, CMJ Director Lara Obeidat highlighted the museum's ongoing commitment to the Royal vision, emphasizing its mission to cultivate future generations that are eager to learn. The museum's approach is to provide an enjoyable and accessible learning experience for all children. Obeidat noted that the museum achieves this by offering a balance between education and entertainment through various exhibits, programs, and events throughout the year.
Obeidat shared that since its inception, CMJ has received 4.6 million visitors. The museum is dedicated to providing an interactive learning environment where children can explore and discover the world. She mentioned that monitoring visitor feedback is crucial for continuously enhancing the museum's offerings.
The museum supports extracurricular education by complementing formal learning with interactive experiences that embody scientific concepts and skills. It features over 190 exhibits, each designed to reflect scientific ideas that children can explore firsthand.
Obeidat also highlighted the museum's inclusive approach, granting free entry for children with disabilities and their families. The facilities are fully equipped to accommodate all visitors, and special activities are organized to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, promoting values of inclusion and accessibility.
Since the launch of its "Mobile Museum," CMJ has reached over 750,000 visitors, achieving the remarkable feat of covering all of Jordan's governorates within a single year in 2025. The museum integrates technology into children's experiences, aiming to empower them with essential skills for the technological age while promoting safe usage practices.
