China’s Foreign Minister Highlights Dialogue as Key to Global Peace

Beijing: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday emphasized the importance of 'upholding equality among civilizations' as a means to foster global peace. Wang proposed promoting dialogue as a crucial 'bond of peace' during the commemoration of the 1st International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations, as highlighted in a statement from China's Foreign Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, Wang underscored that dialogue among civilizations is pivotal in bridging divides and eliminating prejudices, thereby reinforcing mutual trust and safeguarding common security. He stressed the need for respecting diverse development paths and social systems, advocating against interference in the internal affairs of other nations.

Wang called for enhanced exchanges among civilizations, suggesting that insights gained from intercultural conversations could help address global challenges and broaden development opportunities. He also emphasized the role of new technologies, including artificial intelligence, in enriching the shared material and spiritual wealth of civilizations.
