China’s Silk Road Troupe and Jordanian Artists Dazzle at Jerash Festival

Amman: The Hippodrome stage hosted a Chinese cultural and heritage performance by the Chinese Silk Road Troupe as part of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts.

According to Jordan News Agency, the troupe captivated audiences with rich folkloric compositions, utilizing the rhythmic harmony of Eastern instruments to showcase elements of China's human heritage. The evening attracted a large crowd and sparked notable interest from festival visitors.

The Chinese troupe performed 15 musical pieces, displaying exceptional skill and harmony. Their performance opened with "The Elephant King's Procession" and included vibrant compositions such as "Atmosphere of the East," "Laughter Across Oceans," "Dream of the Dagger," "Bright Spring," and "A Beautiful Legend." The melodies continued with "To the Tune of the Plum Blossom," "Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon," "Dream Catcher," and "Early Spring in Lishan," alongside "Echoes of Nostalgia" and "Harmony of the Nine Provinces," concluding with "Happiness Complete with the Meeting of Loved Ones."

On the local front, Jordanian artists invigorated the Hippodrome stage with national songs and traditional folk chants, engaging the audience with authentic musical showcases that reflected national identity and folk heritage. Their performances celebrated the homeland, leadership, and soil, merging the allure of the Far East with traditional Jordanian melodies.

The Jerash Festival's program highlights cultural diversity, reinforcing its status as a global platform that celebrates human arts and fosters intercultural dialogue and exchange.
