Amman: The General Directorate of Civil Defense (GDCD) reported that its teams responded to a total of 1,489 incidents involving ambulance, rescue, and fire services within the last 24 hours.
According to Jordan News Agency, these incidents included 1,213 ambulance calls, where the response teams reached the scenes in an average time of 7 minutes and 35 seconds. Additionally, GDCD teams managed 118 rescue incidents, achieving an average response time of 7 minutes and 36 seconds. There were also 158 fire incidents, with teams responding in an average time of 7 minutes and 34 seconds.
The GDCD advised the public to wear appropriate swimming gear to prevent drowning incidents and recommended keeping ignition sources out of children's reach to prevent fires and accidental burn injuries.
