Amman: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Regent, presided over a regular meeting of the National Council for Future Technology, where he emphasized the need for expanding the integration of hospitals and health centers into the Jordan Digital Health Centre network, according to a royal court statement.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting was attended by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, who chairs the council. The Crown Prince stressed the importance of using technological and technical capabilities to enhance health services, aiming to provide citizens with optimal services.

Minister of Health Ibrahim Bdour provided insights into the services offered by the Jordan Digital Health Centre since its inauguration a year ago. He noted the centre's role in delivering remote care through telemedicine services, which help reduce the burden on patients, enhance healthcare services, and increase savings for government hospitals through efficient resource management of medical supplies and hospital beds.

Bdour mentioned the centre's advanced connectivity, which includes a dialysis unit and an intensive care unit linked to 12 hospitals, a digital radiology unit connected to 19 hospitals, and a telemedicine unit linked to three healthcare centres.

The minister further added that the centre has issued over 45,000 teleradiology reports, monitored more than 55,000 dialysis sessions, supervised over 2,000 intensive care unit cases, and provided hundreds of specialist consultations to affiliated hospitals and healthcare centres.
