Jordan, Trkiye Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments and Bilateral Ties

Amman: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan engaged in a phone conversation to discuss regional developments and bilateral relations.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ministers emphasized the importance of sustaining the ceasefire between the US and Iran, advocating for resumed negotiations and a comprehensive resolution. They highlighted the necessity of ensuring navigation freedom in the Strait of Hormuz under international law.

The conversation also addressed concerns over Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank, with both ministers warning against escalations and illegal measures that could entrench occupation and undermine peace prospects. They expressed condemnation of violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque and rejected attempts to alter Jerusalem's historical and legal status quo.

Furthermore, the ministers stressed the importance of implementing US President Donald Trump's plan to restore stability in Gaza. The discussion concluded with a focus on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional and international issues of mutual interest.
