Amman: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II met with UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Yvette Cooper.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Crown Prince commended the distinguished relations between Jordan and the United Kingdom, noting the two countries' shared vision for achieving peace in the Middle East. His Royal Highness praised the UK's decision to recognise the State of Palestine and underscored the need to take serious steps to achieve just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution.
The Crown Prince emphasized the importance of implementing the agreement to end the war in Gaza and highlighted the need to increase the humanitarian response to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians. The meeting also addressed the necessity of supporting the efforts of the Palestinian National Authority to serve the interests of all Palestinians, along with backing Syria and Lebanon's efforts to maintain their stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Jordan's Ambassador to the UK Manar Dabbas and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain were present at the meeting.
