Cities & Villages Development Bank (CVDB) won the first place in Peacock Award for Best Government Bank Digital Transformation granted by the World Social Media Forum (WSMF).
The CVDB’s achievement came during a WSMF celebration in its seventh edition, which was hosted by Jordan Wednesday, under the theme: “A new era of media and business on social media.”
According to a CVDB statement on Thursday, the acting director of the CVDB’s Institutional Development Department, Dr. Firas Hijawi, expressed the bank’s pride in receiving this award, which came as a result of its digital transformation scheme based on its strategic plan aimed to provide “distinguished and fast” e-services, automate all procedures and ensure the public’s access to “outstanding” services.
He added that the CVDB always integrates “new and advanced” technology, especially in the field of digitization and information technology, by introducing use of social networking sites to communicate with customers, which is “positively” reflected on them.
On future action, he pledged CVDB’s continuity to develop e-services that contribute to advancing the bank in a way that enhances its position aimed to provide the highest quality services, noting that the award will push CVDB to exert more effort in developing its work.
