Prague:Polls have closed in the Czech Republic, where voters participated in municipal elections and Senate elections for one-third of its seats.
According to Anadolu Agency, nearly 190,000 candidates were in the running for approximately 62,000 local council positions, and 154 candidates contested 27 seats in the Senate.
Initial election results are anticipated late Saturday, with complete results expected early on Sunday. A second round of Senate elections is planned for the following weekend.
