Amman, A depression centred over Cyprus will affect Jordan this week, and temperatures are expected to drop slightly, and rain is expected to fall, with the beginning of the winter solstice, which will start on Thursday, according to a Jordan Metrological Department (JMD) statement.

JMD head, Raed Al Khattab, said analytics of numerical models and distributions of atmospheric pressure systems indicate weather stability next week, with maximum temperatures expected to be higher than normal.
