Amman: Deputising for HRH Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Minister of Youth, Yazan Shdeifat, launched the Hussein Youth Camps for Work and Construction 2025, held under the slogan: "Amman, the Capital of Arab Youth."

According to Jordan News Agency, during the opening ceremony, Shdeifat emphasized that the camps, established fifty-seven years ago, are a crucial national milestone fostering values of allegiance and loyalty while preparing a generation with awareness and the ability to contribute to society. The camps serve as practical platforms for capacity building and leadership development among Jordanian youth.

Shdeifat highlighted that this year's camps include advanced content, such as economic empowerment, vocational and technical training, digital skills, political empowerment, gaming, entrepreneurship, and scouting activities. He remarked that the Ministry is dedicated to transforming youth energies into productive opportunities and providing a training and awareness environment aligned with global developments, connecting youth to labor market and societal needs.

At the ceremony, the minister announced the launch of the 3rd edition of the Al Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Volunteer Work, with registration available on the award's website. This initiative reflects HRH Crown Prince's vision to instill a culture of volunteering among youth.

The ministry organizes this year's camps, both overnight and daytime, with the participation of 8,508 young men and women, in collaboration with official and civil society institutions, and partners from the public and private sectors. Activities under these camps include scouting, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and robotics, digital skills, future technology, and political empowerment.

Additional camps focus on game development, health and youth, intellectual property, vocational training and technical education, and economic empowerment events. Daytime camps will feature sports, physical activities, climate change events, "Rescue Arms," and youth, peace, and security camps in line with UN Resolution 2250.

The agenda also includes camps for political and party participation, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence and cybersecurity activities. These camps, part of a comprehensive national plan, will continue until August 30, aiming to enhance the Jordanian youth's value system, consolidate their culture of participation, develop life and community skills, and reinforce their role as partners in sustainable development for the future.
