Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Awqaf Minister, Mohammad Khalaileh, attended the ministry’s celebration of the anniversary of the Islamic Hijri new year.
This Muharram 1 marks 1443 lunar years since Prophet Mohammad’s migration from Macca to Madinah, known as the “hijra”.
In the celebration, held Monday at the Royal Cultural Center, Khalaileh lauded the state’s efforts in combatting the Coivd-19 pandemic, which allowed for celebrating this great occasion.
The occasion reflects many meanings, as the Prophet (PBUH), spent 13 years calling for Islam in Macca and suffered multiple types of torment, which proves that establishing life under harsh conditions does not mean surrender, but rather to be strong and determined, and make plans and studies, and to rely on God.
