Bethlehem, Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah, HRH Princess Maryam Ghazi, along with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, on Friday evening attended the Christmas dinner, on the occasion of Christmas according to the Julian calendar, in the city of Bethlehem, in Palestine.
Princess Maryam conveyed the greetings and congratulations of His Majesty the King and the Jordanian people to all those celebrating Christmas, according to the eastern calendar, in Palestine and the world, and His Majesty’s wishes of goodness and peace to all.
The Christmas dinner was attended by Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem, and a number of official and religious figures.
In addition, President Abbas Friday evening received Princess Maryam Ghazi, at the Presidential Palace in Bethlehem, and her accompanying delegation.
President Abbas lauded the deep-rooted ties between the two peoples.
He commended Jordan’s role, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, in supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause.
