Amman: Minister of Social Development and Head of the Ministerial Committee for Women's Empowerment, Wafa Bani Mustafa, engaged in discussions with Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs, to explore potential areas of collaboration. According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting underscored efforts to bolster joint cooperation and highlighted the robust brotherly relations between the two countries. Bani Mustafa shared insights into the Ministry of Social Development's prominent initiatives and services aimed at various target populations, with a particular focus on programs for women. Bani Mustafa pointed out the legislative advancements that have been achieved to enhance the participation of Jordanian women, including a constitutional amendment to Article VI. This amendment ensures that the state guarantees women's empowerment, supports their active role in society, and protects them from discrimination and violence, promoting equal opportu nities based on justice and equity. Al-Sabah expressed her appreciation for the strong fraternal ties between Kuwait and Jordan and acknowledged the importance of the social services provided by the ministry to its target audiences. She also emphasized her eagerness to explore further collaboration and coordinated efforts between the two nations.
