Amman: The Jordanian National Centre for Epidemics and Communicable Diseases Control (JCDC) recently concluded a workshop aimed at enhancing health data governance. Collaborating with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), the workshop focused on analyzing data using R Programming to bolster the health sector's analytical skills. According to Jordan News Agency, the four-day event included participation from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. It addressed fundamental issues to establish a solid foundation for practical data preparation and analysis, which is considered essential for making informed decisions in Jordan's public health sectors. Dr. Adel Belbisi, Head of JCDC, highlighted that the workshop marks a significant step in the center's efforts to implement data-driven policies in public health management and decision-making. He emphasized that the center plans to build on this progress through additional training courses and collaborative opportunities, which are expe cted to improve the governance and analysis of health data in Jordan.
