Education Ministry: 213 Violations Recorded Since Start of Tawjihi Exam

Amman: Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs and Head of the Examination Committee, Dr. Nawaf Ajarmeh, reported that 213 violations were recorded up to the end of the fifth day of the supplementary session of Tawjihi, the general secondary education certificate examination.

According to Jordan News Agency, Ajarmeh detailed the penalties, stating that 13 students received warnings, while 45 others were banned from completing the exam. Most of the violations involved attempts to bring electronic devices designed for cheating, primarily listening devices and VIP cards, into the exam hall. Additionally, 10 applicants were banned from completing the exam for an entire session due to the use of cheating materials.

In statements to "Petra," Ajarmeh revealed that 141 violations resulted in the cancellation of two exam sessions for bringing communication devices or electronic kits into the exam room. He also noted that four violations led to a two-year ban for photographing the exam paper.

Ajarmeh confirmed that the exams proceeded "smoothly" as planned over the previous five days, with operations rooms not reporting any issues affecting the exam process. He mentioned that Wednesday marks the sixth day of the Tawjihi exams, with over 15,000 students scheduled to take the computer science exam.
