Amman: Egypt has condemned as "a new violation of international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Convention" Israel's decision to cut electricity to the Gaza Strip.
According to Jordan News Agency, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement reaffirming its categorical rejection of Israel's collective punishment policies. These policies include the suspension of humanitarian aid entry, which, Egypt argues, further exacerbates the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Furthermore, Egypt has called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take necessary measures to halt such violations, emphasizing the need for immediate action to address the escalating crisis.
