Amman: The Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) received 839 licensing applications across various energy and mining sectors in May, official data showed on Saturday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the commission rejected four applications, all of which were within the oil and petroleum derivatives sector.
The total number of applications included 381 requests in the natural resources sector, followed by 237 in the radiation and nuclear fields. The oil and petroleum derivatives sector accounted for 187 applications, while the electricity and renewable energy sector received 34 requests.
