Energy Minister Reviews Progress on Government Compliance Matrix 2024

Amman: Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Kharabsheh, held a meeting on Monday with the ministry's "Integrity, Transparency, and Good Governance Committee" to review the progress of the Government Compliance Matrix 2024, which the ministry is developing in response to the requirements of the National Integrity Index.

According to Jordan News Agency, during the meeting, Kharabsheh emphasized the importance of the national integrity index as a tool to measure institutional compliance with national integrity standards. He praised the committee's efforts in fulfilling the index's requirements by completing the compliance matrix and addressing any gaps. He noted that the results of this initiative would have significant institutional and organizational implications.

Following the meeting, Kharabsheh conducted an inspection tour of the Public Service Office, reaffirming the ministry's commitment to an open-door policy to ensure efficient service delivery in accordance with government standards. He also expressed his interest in engaging directly with ministry employees to better understand their needs.

He emphasized that communication channels with him remain open daily, commending the reception of feedback and suggestions that contribute to improving the ministry's work environment. As part of strengthening transparency and accountability, Kharabsheh directed the establishment of a direct communication channel for employees to submit their observations. This initiative aligns with the Economic Modernization Vision, reinforcing integrity and transparency in government procedures.
