EU Commission to Approve New Sanctions on Israel Over Gaza War

Brussels: The European Commission announced Tuesday that EU commissioners will approve new sanctions on Israel on Wednesday in response to its war on Gaza.

According to Jordan News Agency, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas stated in a post on X that the Commission will present a new package of measures aimed at pressuring the Israeli government to halt its expansion of the conflict in the Gaza Strip.

A Commission spokesperson told reporters, "Tomorrow, the commissioners will adopt a package of measures against Israel specifically, a proposal to suspend certain trade provisions in agreements between the EU and Israel."
