Gaza City: The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has revealed new details about a horrific massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Juha family, which resulted in the deaths of nearly 90 civilians, including 71 women and children, with dozens more injured.
According to Jordan News Agency, the monitor stated that the attack was deliberate and occurred without prior warning or military necessity, as part of the ongoing genocide Israel has been committing against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
The investigation revealed that the Juha family's building was targeted in a sudden bombardment without any prior notice as part of a large-scale military assault launched by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians in the eastern areas of Gaza City, immediately after the first ceasefire period ended in early December 2023.
The report emphasized that the manner, timing, and type of munitions used in the attack, as well as the extensive destruction it caused, especially in the absence of any military necessity to justify it, made the attack a serious violation of international humanitarian law. This includes the principles of distinction, proportionality, and the duty to take necessary precautions, which Israel is legally obligated to respect under all circumstances without exception.
