Western Sanctions Against Russia Have Not Achieved Their Goals: Moscow

Moscow: Moscow confirmed Monday that the EU's sanctions against Russia have not achieved their intended objectives. The Russian government noted that the sanctions have had a negative impact on the countries that imposed them.

According to Jordan News Agency, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated, "The situation in Western countries is deteriorating due to these economic measures. The sanctions have not affected Russia's internal situation as Western countries had hoped."

Zakharova emphasized that Russia has demonstrated an ability to adapt to these pressures, contrary to the expectations of Western nations.
