Amman: European equity markets closed higher across the board on Thursday, with major indices recording noticeable gains driven by advances in most sectors, falling oil prices, and progress in peace negotiations between the United States and Iran.
According to Jordan News Agency, the pan-European STOXX 600 index climbed 1.4% by the close of trading. Meanwhile, Britain's FTSE 100 rose by approximately 1.6%, France's CAC 40 advanced 1.65%, and Germany's DAX jumped 2%.
Most regional sectors finished the session in positive territory, except the technology sector, which dropped roughly 2.4% at the close, capping the market's broader gain.
