Fire Crews Extinguish 4,000sqm Blaze in Irbid’s Stock Apparel Market.

Irbid: Within hours of continuous work, civil defense crews successfully put out a blaze that burned goods and stores with an area of approximately 4,000 square meters in the northern Irbid governorate. According to Jordan News Agency, in a statement Tuesday, the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) stated that firefighting teams from Irbid, Jerash, and Ajloun responded at dawn to a report about the large fire. The official added that the fire was extinguished with the cooperation and support of the Jordanian gendarmerie forces and the PSD, an effort that suppressed the blaze from spreading to other neighboring sites, adding that "no casualties were reported." Dozens of equipped vehicles and a large number of officers and personnel engaged in the fire suppression, indicating that an investigation was underway to determine causes that led to its outbreak, the statement pointed out.
