Flow from Disi Water Supply Suspended for Amman and Zarqa Areas Next Week

Amman: Flow from the Disi water supply will be halted for Amman and Zarqa areas next week, as announced by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Jordan Water Authority, Water Company Jordan "Mihanna", and Disi Water Company (Diwaco). The suspension is scheduled to start next Sunday and continue through Thursday morning, lasting a total of 96 hours.

According to Jordan News Agency, this pause is intended to facilitate the annually scheduled preventative maintenance work by the Disi Water Project operator on multiple facilities within the Disi water system. The Ministry emphasized that this decision is "necessary" for carrying out the scheduled annual maintenance to ensure the continuous supply of water to all areas and subscribers.

The statement issued on Sunday highlighted that the scheduled suspension will partially affect several specific regions in the Amman and Zarqa governorates. During this period, the Ministry urged citizens to take necessary precautions and store sufficient water quantities to meet their needs throughout the shutdown.
