AMMAN: Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, engaged in a phone conversation with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani to discuss the ongoing situation in Syria. The two officials underscored the necessity of a comprehensive political process led by Syrians, aimed at reconstructing state institutions to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people and ensure their rights. According to Jordan News Agency, both ministers reiterated their countries' support for the Syrian people and condemned Israel's occupation of Syrian territory. They described the occupation as an escalation that must cease immediately and highlighted it as a violation of international law. The conversation also emphasized the importance of maintaining Syria's unity, sovereignty, security, and stability. In addition to discussing Syria, Safadi and Al Zayani affirmed the strength of the fraternal relations between Jordan and Bahrain, exploring ways to further enhance bilat eral ties.
