FM, Omani counterpart talk ties, ink several agreements

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi discussed Wednesday with his Omani counterpart Badr Albusaidi how to put the outcomes of talks between His Majesty King Abdullah II and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman into action.

The two ministers discussed the ongoing preparations for the Jordanian-Omani Joint Higher Committee meetings in Amman next year, as well as a business forum on the sidelines of the meetings.

Additionally, Safadi and Albusaidi signed a number of executive programs and memoranda of understanding in the areas of mining, labor, historical documentation, document management, and archiving, information sharing, insurance industry regulation, and consumer protection.

The two sides also signed an executive program for higher education, scientific research, and innovation for the years (2023, 2024, and 2025), as well as an executive program for tourism cooperation for the years (2023-2026).
