Four decisive matches on Friday are set to be held in the second round of the 2022 World Cup group stage, bringing together the teams of Iran and Wales, Qatar and Senegal, the Netherlands and Ecuador, England and the United States of America.

Today’s matches acquire great importance, as they will largely determine the teams that will continue in the tournament and those that will leave, as the teams that lost in their first matches last week will be disqualified from the tournament if they lose in today’s matches.

Yesterday, four matches were played in seventh and eighth groups.

The first game was between Switzerland and Cameroon, where the two teams met at noon at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah in the first round of Group G, which also includes Brazil and Serbia, and the match ended with Switzerland winning 1-0.

In the second match, Uruguay played South Korean in Education City Stadium in Doha, in the first round matches for the eighth group, and the match ended in a goalless draw, as each team scored one point.

In the third match, the Portugal national team beat the Ghanaian team, during the match that brought them together at the 974 Stadium in Doha, in the presence of more than 40,000 spectators, and ended with three goals for Portugal, while Ghana scored two goals.

In the fourth and final match of yesterday, Brazil beat Serbia, in an exciting match that took place in Lusail Stadium in Group G, and ended with Brazil scoring two goals and nil for Serbia.
