Amman: Temperatures in Jordan are anticipated to drop further on Saturday as a polar air mass intensifies, bringing cloudiness and intermittent rain to northern and central regions, as well as some eastern and southwestern parts of the Kingdom. There remains a possibility of light snowfall on mountain tops.

According to Jordan News Agency, desert areas should prepare for westerly fresh winds and dusty gusts, although rainfall is expected to decrease during the night. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings about poor visibility due to fog and surface clouds, particularly over elevated areas, and dust-laden winds in desert regions. Motorists are advised to exercise caution against freezing and icy roads in the early morning and late night hours.

Sunday will see temperatures continue to drop, with cloudy to partly cloudy skies and light sleet showers anticipated on western heights during the early morning. Winds are expected to be fresh and gusty, intensifying at times.

Monday's forecast predicts chilly and partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with northwesterly moderate winds. There remains a chance for early morning drizzles and light snow showers over the highlands.

On Tuesday, temperatures are forecasted to rise slightly but will remain very cold. High clouds are expected over the mountains with southeasterly moderate winds prevailing.

Saturday's temperature highs and lows are expected to be 6-3 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 4-1 in West Amman, 2 to minus 1 in northern heights, 1 to minus 2 in the Shara highlands, 9-3 in the Badia region, 6-2 in the Eastern Plains, 14-6 in the Northern Jordan Valley, 17-10 in the Southern Jordan Valley, 15-7 at the Dead Sea, and 18-10 in the Gulf of Aqaba.
