Amman: Jordan's medical reputation has become a dream come true for Palestinians through the humanitarian medical corridor ordered by His Majesty King Abdullah II to help the wounded and sick from Gaza. Escorts of injured and sick children from Gaza expressed their gratitude to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
According to Jordan News Agency, Islam Kafarneh, mother of five-month-old Adam, conveyed her appreciation, stating, "Many Gazans view King Abdullah II as a source of support and assistance for them and their children, praying for his long life for his deeply humane positions and his constant stand with our cause." She explained that her son has suffered from a neurological disease since birth and that treatment was unavailable in Gaza, adding she placed her trust first in God and then in Jordan's medical teams to heal her child and bring him home healthy.
Khaled Abu Sitta, father of three-year-old Bushra, who has suffered from a buildup of triglycerides in her body since birth, shared that efforts to treat her in Gaza failed due to a lack of medical equipment and supplies, necessitating their transfer to Jordan through the corridor. He noted that Jordanian medical staff accompanying them treated them with the highest respect throughout their 18-hour journey from Gaza City until reaching the arrivals hall at King Hussein Bridge.
Kifah Abu Huzeiba, mother of two-year-old Yacoub, expressed her joy upon learning that her son, who has suffered from vein and artery deformities, continuous bleeding, and jawbone erosion since he was nine months old, would receive treatment in Jordanian hospitals. She added that her suffering with long travel distances and Israeli checkpoint procedures vanished the moment she entered Jordanian territory, confident in Jordan's medical capacity to relieve her son's daily pain. She said treatment in Gaza had become impossible, praying for King Abdullah's health and long life in recognition of his ongoing support for Gaza's residents.
Suha Shaban mentioned that from the moment she heard of the royal initiative, she prayed her nine-year-old daughter, Amira, who suffers from partial paralysis after shrapnel struck her head, would be included in the treatment program. She emphasized that Jordan's continued support for Gaza proved that Jordanians are "brothers in blood," standing by their people through the delivery of medical and food aid.
On Monday, the Jordan Armed Forces evacuated the twelfth group of children from Gaza under the "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative. The group included 14 patients and 38 family members, who were transferred to Jordanian hospitals for treatment as part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, to support and assist the people of Gaza.
