GCC Secretary-General Condemns Israeli Genocide in Gaza, Calls for International Action

Amman: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi on Wednesday condemned what he described as Israeli occupation forces' "incursions and genocidal war" against Gaza, accompanied by "horrific crimes against the defenseless Palestinian people," calling it a blatant challenge to the international community and its institutions.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Budaiwi, in a statement posted on the council's official website, said the repeated crimes reflect a systematic policy aimed at the extermination and displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the destruction of all prospects for peace. He described the actions as "war crimes and crimes against humanity that cannot be justified or ignored, reflecting a mindset based on ethnic cleansing and collective punishment."

He warned that the international community's silence and failure to act "encourages the occupation to persist in its criminal practices," calling for immediate and effective international intervention to halt the violations and hold perpetrators accountable before international courts.
