Jeddah: Jeddah Duty Free, a joint venture involving Jordanian Duty Free Shops, Germany's Heinemann, and Saudi Arabia's Astra Group, has inaugurated new retail areas at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah under the "Jeddah Duty Free" brand, the company revealed on Wednesday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the company highlighted in a press statement that the Jordanian Duty Free Shops' participation in this venture aligns with its strategy to expand its footprint in regional markets. It aims to achieve this through strategic partnerships with prominent global entities.
The statement further noted that this initiative marks a vital milestone in the company's retail journey. It opens new opportunities for investment and development, promoting tourism and trade growth in the region. Additionally, it underscores the strong Jordan-Saudi relationship, with Jordan committed to bolstering regional investments and enhancing its role in the retail and tourism sectors.
The project encompasses 8,000 square meters within both the southern (Terminal 1) and northern terminals, offering travelers a diverse shopping experience that merges luxury global brands with a distinct local flavor.
The newly opened outlets encompass various categories, including beauty and fragrances, chocolates and gourmet foods, tobacco, souvenirs, fashion, accessories, and jewelry. The sales team is composed of local talents from the Jordanian Duty Free Shops and selected international experts, ensuring a high level of professionalism and a welcoming atmosphere.
