GFJTU Organizes Training Program for Saudi Labor Committees

Amman: The General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU) recently conducted a training program titled "Essential Skills and Traits of Labor Committees' Members" for the Saudi National Committee of Workers Committees (SNC). The program is designed to enhance the skills and capabilities of committee members in leadership, teamwork, negotiation, and dialogue.

According to Jordan News Agency, the three-day program, which commenced on Saturday, includes various training activities focused on building labor strategies, effective communication and dialogue skills, teamwork management, creative thinking in presenting labor demands, and effective negotiation and agreement-making skills.

GFJTU President Khaled Fanatseh highlighted that this initiative underscores the strong trade union relations between Jordan and Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that the program is part of a broader cooperation framework and exchange of expertise between GFJTU and SNC, reflecting a shared commitment to developing labor capabilities and promoting effective dialogue, negotiation, and teamwork practices.

Salah bin Abdulaziz Al-Abbad, SNC Vice President, acknowledged GFJTU as a long-established union institution and a center of expertise in union work. He praised the Jordanian federation's efforts in organizing and hosting the training activities, noting it as a testament to the genuine partnership between the two nations and Jordan's dedication to sharing its expertise with Arab counterparts.

The program is delivered by experts and specialists in union work and incorporates a comprehensive training approach featuring practical applications and group exercises. This allows participants to develop applicable tools and skills suited to workers' committee operations.

During the opening ceremony, both parties exchanged commemorative plaques to honor their deep-rooted mutual relations and joint partnership and cooperation.
