Maan:Governor Khaled Al-Hajjaj inspected the Maan Public Works Directorate on Wednesday to assess its readiness and emergency plans for the upcoming 2026/2027 winter season.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Hajjaj highlighted the importance of implementing contingency plans effectively, maintaining high levels of response, and addressing high-risk areas proactively to safeguard public safety and property during severe weather conditions.
Head of the directorate, Omran Al-Bdour, mentioned that efforts have been made to address issues identified during the previous winter season, with a focus on flood-prone areas and improving drainage infrastructure to manage heavy rainfall and runoff.
Al-Hajjaj praised the efforts of the public works personnel and emphasized the necessity of ongoing maintenance, early intervention, and close coordination with other agencies to ensure efficient response capabilities throughout the winter season.
