Amman: The Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), has called on deaf individuals in Jordan to subscribe to the PSD's official WhatsApp channel to stay informed about regional military escalations and receive alerts about the activation and conclusion of air raid sirens.

According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative aims to ensure that deaf citizens have real-time access to emergency alerts and warnings, particularly those triggered by siren activations, to help safeguard their well-being and improve preparedness in emergencies. The HCD issued a statement on Monday outlining the importance of this communication channel, emphasizing the need for inclusivity in emergency preparedness measures.
