Amman: Secretary-General of Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST), Dr. Mashhour Rifai, on Wednesday discussed with Bulgarian Ambassador to Jordan, Metin Kazak, ways to enhance cooperation in the innovation and scientific research fields. During the meeting, Rifai highlighted the necessity of adopting initiatives to develop policies related to science, technology and innovation, and support scientific research and entrepreneurship. Rifai also presented the HCST's role, activities, programs and events in the fields of water, energy, food, climate change and information technology. For his part, the Bulgarian envoy praised the council's role locally, regionally and globally in networking industrial and academic sectors. Kazak also expressed his country's readiness to cooperate in the upcoming International Conference on the Red Sea Ecosphere through researchers' participation with "extensive" cognitive and practical expertise in the Black Sea environment.
