Amman, An air depression, formed on the Mediterranean coasts and is moving towards the east, accompanied by a cold air mass, will affect the Kingdom early morning.

Director of the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), Raed Al-Khattab, said that the depression will bring rain and drop temperatures.

Heavy rain is expected in most parts of the Kingdom, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and hail, which is expected to fall heavily at times in some areas, especially mountain areas, Al-Khattab added

Al-Khattab urged the public to take JMD warnings seriously, avoid dangerous areas, torrential streams in valleys and rain water catchments, and areas of high levels of rain water, including the city of Aqaba and the Dead Sea.

Al-Khattab also warned of strong south-westerly winds that can exceed 60 kilometres per hour in some areas.
