Holiday Announced on June 26th to Mark Hijri New Year

Amman: Prime Minister Jafar Hassan announced on Tuesday an official holiday on Thursday, June 26th, to mark the Hijri New Year.

According to Jordan News Agency, the decision was communicated through an official notice, which states that all ministries, official agencies, institutions, public universities, municipalities, joint service councils, and entities fully owned by the government will be closed on June 26th.

The holiday excludes ministries, departments, and institutions whose work requires continuous operation. Hassan encouraged public institutions to highlight and honour the Hijri New Year.
