Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Stateieh said young people today need to enhance their skills and get empowered to enter labor market, highlighting the rapid developments and modern skills in this regard, such as 5G technology, artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

This cooperation comes as a result of meetings between His Majesty King Abdullah II and The CEO of Huawei, he noted, adding that : “This company continued remote training despite Covid-19 pandemic-imposed circumstances to provide training to Jordanian youth, explain the latest technology trends, discover China’s technological ecosystem, learn from the best experts and take a look at Chinese culture.”

Stateieh called on students participating in the program to benefit from the young people’s experiences.

The CEO of Huawei Jordan, Ethan Wang, said Huawei electric cars will be introduced in Jordan next year in the fourth wave of the Industrial Revolution, and every aspect of human society will be digitized.

Wang also said Jordan was doing its best in the 5G era and developing it, adding that more than 133 million new jobs would be created because of the changes brought about by digitization.

Chen Sanju, the trade advisor at the Chinese Embassy in Amman, said, Jordan is celebrating its 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and referred to “great” economic and trade cooperation and coordination in international positions.

Jordan, Sanju noted, is one of the world’s developed countries in the field of technological transformation and is a leader in communications and information technology.

The ceremony was attended by the Ministry of Digital Economy Secretary-General, Samira Zou’bi, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Secretary-General, Mamoun Al Debi’e.

The Seeds of the Future program is the most invested and long-term CSR activity dedicated to the best ICT students and STEM students around the world, benefiting nearly 150 Jordanian students.
