Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday received the Chief of Staff, Joint Staff of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces (JSDF), General K?ji Yamazaki, and the accompanying delegation.
Huneiti and Yamazaki discussed latest regional and international developments, aspects of joint military cooperation and coordination, and ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the armed forces of the two friendly countries.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the guest delegation attended a number of military briefings on the development and modernization of weapons, tasks and equipment in the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) – Arab Army, in line with the nature of developments taking place in the region at various levels.
Huneiti and Yamazaki attended a military drill carried out by Special Unit / 71, one of the King Abdullah II Special Forces Group (JORSOF), at the unit’s training center.
