Amman, The Independent Elections Commission (IEC) Thursday received the ISO/TS 54001: 2019 certification after it underwent an external audit process for two days, including procedures and processes related to international standards of a quality system.
According to a statement, the IEC met the requirements and conditions for obtaining the certificate regarding the provision of service and determining the effectiveness of the quality system through objective evidence related to measurement and reviewing the objectives of the operations and the procedures and stages of the electoral process.
The IEC had previously obtained the “ISO” certificate related to the process of quality control of electoral administrations, as Jordan was the only country to secure international accreditation in elections in the Middle East.
