Amman: The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply held a strategic coordination meeting with key donor agencies, international development organizations, and development partners engaged in private sector development. The meeting aimed to reinforce the Ministry's role in fostering private sector growth and generating employment opportunities.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Ministry released a statement emphasizing its commitment to partnering with the donor community to implement strategies designed to boost the competitiveness of various economic sectors. The meeting, organized in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), involved a thorough review of the Ministry's priorities. These priorities include enhancing private sector competitiveness through established policies and strategies focused on export promotion, product and market diversification, and strengthening industrial sector competitiveness in line with Economic Modernization Vision targets.
Ministry Secretary-General Dana Zoubi highlighted the necessity of strengthening partnerships with donor agencies to collectively uplift the national economy, expand job opportunities, and improve technical capabilities across industrial, commercial, and service sectors. The forum allowed donor agencies and partners to present their current and planned programs and initiatives in collaboration with the Ministry.
The discussions also focused on improving coordination, exploring complementary areas, and unifying efforts among stakeholders. This aims to enhance cooperation and integrate initiatives supporting private sector development and employment in Jordan.
