The Ministry of Interior on Monday announced that its service portfolio is now fully digital, becoming the first government agency to complete an end-to-end digital transformation.

Minister Mazen Farraya told a ceremony concluding the fifth and final phase of his ministry’s digitization project that the total shift to online service platforms is a “quantum leap” in government work, which, he added, will ensure a better experience for all service recipients, whether citizens or foreigners.

He stressed that the completion of the project would not have been possible without the cooperation and efforts of other stakeholders, including the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship and the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group.

According to Farraya, the ministry now offers a total of 51 online services, of which more than 500,000 service recipients benefitted, indicating that about 325,000 applications and service requests have been processed so far using these channels.
