Interior Ministry: Syrian Tourists Allowed to Enter Jordan Under Previous Regulations

Amman: Tourist groups from Syria are allowed to enter Jordan for a one-month stay under previous regulations with the sponsorship of licensed tourism and travel agencies, the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.

According to Jordan News Agency, the decision is valid with immediate effect, Ministry Spokesman Tareq Majali told Petra in an interview. He added that relevant authorities began taking procedures to ensure its implementation within the set parameters.

“This step is within the framework of supporting the tourism sector and facilitating travel for our brothers in Syria, while safeguarding the security of the Kingdom and ensuring adherence to approved requirements,” Majali stated.
