Irbid Municipality Penalizes Over 100 Entities for Health Violations

Irbid: The Greater Irbid Municipality (GIM) took significant action last May, issuing fines to 120 entities for health violations. Yahia Omari, the Director of Health and Environmental Affairs Department at GIM, revealed that the municipality had issued warnings to 613 establishments within its jurisdiction during the month.

According to Jordan News Agency, Omari mentioned in a statement to "Petra" on Tuesday that the department conducted 929 field visits, resulting in the closure of five businesses. The department also addressed 26 complaints and referred 24 entities and individuals to the governor for legal and administrative action.

Omari highlighted the department's commitment to intensifying inspection campaigns to uncover market and health violations as part of their ongoing efforts to maintain public health standards.
